Is motrin a safe substitute for advil?

Q: Is Motrin a safe substitute for Advil when treating occasional aches from exercise and arthritis or will it raise my BP?

A: Motrin and Advil are different brands of the drug Ibuprofen which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory. This type of drug is known to elevate blood pressure. However, with only occasional use, the blood pressure effects usually aren’t a problem.
