Diabetes and frequent urination

Q: What type of diabetes makes one urinate frequently and uncontrollably, and what can I do to overcome this worrisome disease? I have totally abstained from sugary foods as advised by my doctor since my release from hospital 2 months ago.
A: All types of diabetes can cause frequent urination. Having to go often occurs when your blood sugar is too high. All diabetics are encouraged to check their blood sugar level on a regular basis so adjustments can be made to stay in control. Just avoiding sugary foods isn’t enough. Q: I have taken Cozaar for 4 years + Resperate. About 6 months ago my blood sugar elevated and I lost the use of my foot. I have had many tests to no avail. Last week I forgot to take my medication and all my control came back to my foot. I feel better than I have in a long while. Could it be the meds?
A: Drugs can cause all sorts of reactions but problems usually occur fairly soon after a drug is started, not years later. Sometimes, doctors are never able to find out why a problem happened. You need to keep an eye on your blood pressure until you can see your doctor and be re-examined.

Q: Is there a natural way to lower your blood sugar before it gets over the limit without expensive medicine?
A: Maintaining a normal weight, making healthy food choices, and getting plenty of exercise are natural ways to prevent diabetes and keep blood sugar in the normal range. Even people who have been diagnosed with type II diabetes may be able to control their disease without medication if they lose weight, exercise and watch their diet. Q: I have Type 2 diabetes and high BP. Are there any natural remedies (i.e. live leaf/grape seed extract, omega 3 fatty acids, beta glucan) that can reduce my constant thirst and frequent urination?
A: Constant thirst and frequent urination are symptoms of diabetes. These symptoms should resolve with control of your blood sugar. Check your blood sugar more frequently to make sure your blood sugar isn’t high. Your doctor may need to change your oral medication or start you on insulin for better control. It is not recommended to try to control diabetes with natural remedies other than regular exercise and shedding extra pounds.
