RESPeRATE to improve sexual function

Written by: Dr. Rowena | Posted: Mar 07 2007

Q: Does RESPeRATE have sexual side effects?

A: Regular use of the RESPeRATE does not have any negative sexual side effects. If anything, RESPeRATE use may improve sexual function. The inability to perform the sexual act is associated with both impairment of blood flow to small vessels in the sex organ and to stress. Regular use of the RESPeRATE has been clinically proven to increase blood flow through small vessels. In addition, controlled breathing is a well known technique to lower stress.

Will use of the RESPeRATE cause blood pressure to go down too fast?

Q: Will use of the RESPeRATE cause blood pressure to go down too fast?

A: Use of the RESPeRATE is relaxing and soothing. It is natural for blood pressure to temporarily decrease in this setting. However, once a RESPeRATE session is over, the body quickly responds to increased physical and mental activity. This may cause an increase in your blood pressure if you are especially active. This ability of the body to quickly regulate blood pressure in response to what’s going on insures blood flow to the brain. Studies have shown that it takes three to four weeks of regular RESPeRATE use to cause sustained lower non-resting blood pressure. If you notice a significant difference in your blood pressure after completing a session, make sure you are using the device correctly. Holding your breath instead of slowly breathing out can increase your blood pressure.
