Q: Does Lisinopril affect the menstrual cycle? I have been spotting for over 3 weeks after my period was due.
A: Lisinopril should not cause you to spot. Since you have missed a period, pregnancy is a possibility unless you aren’t sexually active. I suggest you see your doctor for an evaluation.

Nov 19, 2009 - 09:11:54I also have been spotting, I had my period 11-06-09 and today is 11-19-09 and I’m still spotting; very frustrated! I started using Lisinopril three weeks ago, I have the itching side effects, but not coughing….so I’m also wondering if the medication is the cause of my spotting.
I started taking Lisinopril a few days before my period and it hasn’t quite flowed but has been spotting for a week now. This is not normal for me.
I have been regular for the past few years, though I have been amenorrheic in the past. It may have been due to medications as well.
