What are the possible side effects of wellbutrin?

Written by: Dr. Rowena | Posted: Oct 26 2007

Q: I’ve been on Wellbutrin for a year and my BP has gone up to as high as 160/119. Does Wellbutrin raise BP?

A: Wellbutrin is associated with new onset high blood pressure and is known to worsen existing high blood pressure. Blood pressure in the 160/119 range is in poor control. You need to see your doctor.
